Welcome to the CCC Marriage Ministry Relationship Mentoring Page!
Establishing relationship is key to developing strong marriages. However, there are times when marriages are tested and couples need focused support in order to weather the storms that life brings. In order to support couples at these key points in their own relationships, CCC has a team of marriage Mentors that are dedicated to championing marriage both in the church and in the community.
The mission of the CCC marriage mentoring ministry is to inspire marriages into deeply committed relationships in Jesus Christ through one-on-one relationships between couples. This one-on-one relationship is strictly confidential and is specifically intended to accomplish one of three objectives.
- Preparation for marriage or transition into married life (Prepare)
- Recovery from a difficult situation in the marriage (Repair)
- Guidance into a richer more fulfilling relationship (Renew)
In any case, the focus is on supporting, encouraging, and enriching the marriage of their mentoree couple by sharing life and drawing upon their own experience. It is important to note that the mentors are not counselors or therapists, nor is the mentoring relationship designed to replace professional services that can be useful in certain circumstances.
The mentoring relationship is intentionally flexible. Once the relationship is established, couples have the opportunity to define specific goals and objectives that they hope to accomplish in the relationship. As a result, meeting times, lengths, frequency can all be adjusted to meet the objective of the relationship.
